Mr Mokawem is very approachable and hugely helpful, the first doctor in my life who actually talks to a patient [me], the intervention he did on me has been very successful [significant reduction in pain and it seems further improvement], arrangements for my treatment was prompt and carried out on time i also had concrete aftercare instructions

In addition to the highly successful treatment which Mr Mokawem provided me I have been particularly pleased to note the unusual amount of personal interest which he accorded me. Before and after treatment he was very concerned with examining and discussing with me in detail the various elements of my problem, such that I felt particularly well attended to. My problem was a rather involved one with, at first, no clear way forward, but it was successfully resolved and I am most grateful.

Mr Mokawem was so informative with everything and went through every bit step by step so I knew what to expect. He was kind enough to put me on his NHS list after my initial injection didn’t work. My operation went really well and Mr Mokawem has been in to see me a few times to make sure all is ok and again very informative. I feel so much better already. I would also like to thank Jeanette. She’s very quick with responding and keeping you up to date with everything. Both true professionals. Thank you!

Mr Mokawem was very informative about my ailment and the options that were available to me.once I had decided to have an operation Mr Mokawem explained the procedure with me again letting me know the possible dangers of the operation but at no time did I feel anxious about the operation ,I had complete confidence in Mr Mokawem. The operation went very well , just waiting for my six week check up . I can not thank Mr Mokawem enough .

Mr Michael Mokawem performed L4/L5 decompression surgery on my spine during the afternoon of Saturday 14th December 2019. I met him prior to that in a consultation whereby he presented himself exactly as I wished to see my Consultant Spinal Surgeon. My first impressions on meeting Michael were of a professional, experienced, knowledgeable and well presented individual (I’d checked him out online before meeting him to put my mind at rest). He was well dressed, well spoken, well turned out and clean looking, all important attributes to me as I was going to let this man perform surgery on me. On the day of the operation, he came to my hospital bedside to discuss the procedure once again, answer any further questions that I may have had and provided me with some timing estimates. His bedside manner was faultless and he once again put my mind at rest. I was eventually taken to the recovery room where I waited for a short time before I was taken forward to be anaesthetised and I assume on in to the operating theatre. Michael, even at that late stage, found time whilst I waited in the recovery room to once again reassure me, albeit in passing to check on his previous patient. The procedure went well and in the blink of an eye I was back in recovery and eventually returned to my room where the nurses continued monitoring me through the night. I next saw Michael the following day when he came to check on me and discharge me back home. I have nothing but the utmost praise for Mr Michael Mokawem and would recommend him to everyone and anyone. At all times he was most professional but he also had that special quality to never forget that the patient, who may have been anxious and a little afraid, required that human touch and the reassurance that he provided.
